For the starters, Pre-Fall loosely translates to “summer,” but it’s more like “late spring.” It’s a season for more refined and evolved versions of existing hits from the spring-summer collections and they're usually great fabrics and silhouettes for year-round wear. The pre-fall collections usually hit the stores between May-July, however, there’s no hard-and-fast rule to this. Some labels, like Valentino, showed their Pre-fall 2020 collections in November 2018 while in December 2018, Chanel staged a Pre-fall 2020 show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The collections defy categorization, offering best styles for summer, and early autumn wear.
