All about Gigi Hadid's denim themed birthday party
Gigi Hadid celebrated her 24th birthday on 23rd April, 2019. The American model celebrated her birthday at the New York City restaurant – L'avenue that is popular for serving global plates & cocktails in a French art deco-inspired space inside Saks.
We’re sure Hadid makes every birthday of hers more lavish and fun than the last one but what’s interesting about this year was the denim-themed dinner. Celebrities like Taylor Swift and sister Bella Hadid joined her. Most of the guests were spotted wearing denim outfits by the paparazzi.
Leading the way, Gigi herself wore a white crop top, jeans, and a denim jacket. Her perfect denim-on-denim look was inspired by Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake at the 2001 American Music Awards. Hadid’s party started off with a festive cake with a gigantic sparkler in the middle and also included sing-alongs, extravagant-looking sliders, and more. Sounds like the best birthday party ever, doesn’t it?
This party came after a week of non-stop Coachella gigs and the Hadid sisters seemed to have all the energy left in them for the next big party. The sisters, Gigi’s crew of A-list BFFs, and a dozen others were back in the saddle again for this Taurian supermodel’s 24th birthday. The denim-themed soiree looked like it came straight out of the 1990s. Surprisingly, Taylor Swift broke the dress code and favored head-to-toe pink.
The ‘Shake It Off’ singer was the only one snubbing the theme. She paired a red checkered blazer by Mango with a Zimmermann floral dress. The colorful ensemble is speculated to be chosen to match with her current Instagram aesthetic, which she had been teasing in pastels and feminine prints, ahead of the release of her new music project.
Most of the guests wore Canadian tuxedos and they actually looked amazing. A Canadian tuxedo is no rocket science or an actual tux – but it's basically when you wear head-to-toe denim. Seeing the celebrity looks that Gigi’s friends wore to her party, you’d be surprised to see how you have been missing out on wearing Canadian tuxedos yourself. Talking about outfits, it is obvious that Gigi's life presents her with plenty of moments to dress up extra and to the nines – be it Met Gala, Oscars or her designer ramp walks. So, it only seemed natural for her to indulge in a toned-down dress code when she was the host of her birthday bash. Let’s wait and see what theme will her next birthday bring!
