In a world accustomed to statuesque models and celebrities, at first glace, Miroslava Duma may seem out of place amongst leggy models and larger than life depictions of high fashion. Once afraid to step out of the house in without added height, Duma turned to flats for comfort after having her first child and now she regularly rotates sneakers and ballet flats amongst chunky wedges and the occasional stiletto. Good tailoring is key for fit and she makes sure to hem her pants so that they fit well and elongate her pins. She also plays with proportions by cinching belts slightly higher than her natural waistline, creating the illusion of longer legs.
Accessories also play a major role in Duma’s outfits. A pair of nerdy glasses, an eye-catching clutch, or a sparkly statement necklace, the quirky brunette loves to experiment with different combinations and looks. She recalls how much she resented the notion of conformity and was constantly chastised growing up for modifying and incorporating extra details to her schoolgirl uniform. Today, the frustrations of her formative years have paid off — the all grown up Duma is never short on style.
