Han Chong brings both youth and veteran experience to Self-Portrait’s creative direction, garnering

Central Saint Mark (other alumni include McQueen and McCartney) has won over the contemporary market
with lacy numbers at mid price points. Founded in 2013, the label specializes in guipure party dresses,
adeptly manipulating the delicate fabric into clean, feminine shapes punctuated by daring sheer panels.
In recent seasons they venture into edgy separates, catering to an urban, modern customer. His
nonchalantly noticeable pieces attract a celebrity audience from Reese Witherspoon to Kirsten
Stewart.
Self-Portrait continues to captivate the contemporary market with their fresh,
fashion-forward lineup for Spring ’18. Founder and creative director Han Chong translates references
from both history and trend to inspire his confident cocktail dresses and tailored separates. Fil coupé
lace, corseted closings, ruffles and cutouts drive overt femininity without relying on tired tricks.
Striped suiting, polka-dots and star-spangled prints punctuate the collection with an urban cool
