This Season
Ganni Creative Director Ditte Reffstrup captures the fascinating times of jet setting and making it the perfect excuse to dress up for travel. It’s a nostalgic tribute to a bygone era of escapism. Reffstrup shares, “This pre-fall collection was inspired by the early days of charter flights and package vacations — the thrill of take-off, the journey through the clouds, and the arrival someplace completely new. With the collection, I wanted to evoke the excitement of leaving the ordinary world behind, of the exotic glimpsed through airplane windows and framed by oversized shades.”
Fabrics allow for a well-rounded adventure –lace, washed denim, leather, satin and silk ensure the perfect mix of casual and cool, hip and edgy. The quite muted palette is a nod to Art Nouveau with its delicate hues of brown, Cuban sand, light blue and russet orange. Striped tracksuits and embroidered satin bombers ensure stylish comfort while in transit, while floral-printed smocked-waist dresses, pink Lurex metallic knit cardigans, puff-sleeve seersucker crop tops, woven dresses and ruffled polka-dot blouses promise travel-friendly looks that can take you poolside on a luxury resort, to the charming cobblestone streets of a countryside town.
