Carven envisions the modern Mrs. Dalloway in a bouquet of cool, whimsical colors and crisp,
clean shapes. Petal sleeves, delicate draping and organic prints honor the fictional socialite
who “buys the flowers herself.” Sleek, high necklines devote mid-weight textiles to the coming
colder months, fortified by textural mohairs, statement shearling and deep velvets. Golden studs
and acrylic buckles cinch waistlines for fresh, universally-flattering definition that keep the
Carven customer coming back. It’s no wonder literature’s favorite feminist is the perfect muse
for Carven’s off-beat aesthetic with old-world confidence.

About Carven :

Carven’s ultra-chic charm wasn’t born yesterday – founded in 1945 during the golden age of haute couture
in Paris, the clothes of Madame Carven carry a legacy of beauty, luxury and savoir-faire. As a petite
woman, Mme. Carven was known as “the smallest of big couturiers,” and her impact on French fashion was
huge – she was one of the first to stage runway shows abroad, inspiring the introduction of foreign
textiles into fashion, and was also the first French designer to patent a push-up bra. She launched her
first perfume quite literally – by parachuting sample bottles over Paris. Her whimsy and ingenuity are
still at the heart of the brand, led by artistic directors Serge Ruffieux.
